Halinka Tereschenko

Halinka Tereschenko is the younger sister of Sacha Tereschenko (7 years younger) and is the fourth child of the Tereschenko family. Her family was always very poor in her childhood and lacked many basic necessities while growing up, as her father Sergei was terminally ill, and most of their money went towards his medicine. Because of their lack of funds, Halinka was never able to attend school and is hence quite unqualified.

Halinka was born with congenital analgesia, or congenita insensitivity to pain. She's never been able to feel any kind of pain since her birth, which has always been a great concern to her family, as she was never able to tell them if she was hurt, how badly or feeling sick. She had to be well looked after, which was always a great strain to their family conditions. She spent a lot of time in hospital during her childhood from accidents that arised due to her condition, such as serious burns from leaning over the stove element and not feeling it burn her. She had to survive on very little food growing up. She was 12 when her father died. 

After her father's death and the addition of several life changing factors in their family, life started to improve greatly. Halinka was able to eat normally, as well as the rest of her family, and overall everyone's health got better. In her early 20s, she stumbled across a modelling pagent but thought it was a waste of time and carried on, but started to talking to a bystander. She told him her views on it, how not everyone was able to afford fancy dresses and professional makeup and put it quite bluntly, and they talked a bit more about life, particularly hers. The bystander was actually the owner of a giant modelling agency looking for new talent, and was quite amused by how straight up she was about the idea, and did think she would be perfect to model for a new brand, focusing more on natural beauty. Halinka accepted, as jobs are VERY hard to find for the unqualified and uneducated and began to work as a model. She was initially looked down upon by other models, for both being sick and being poor, but she worked hard and worked her way up, and eventually became a successful supermodel. 

She travels the world with her agency now and occasionally is able to mentor young models, which she enjoys very much. She's very happy with where she is, and gets to see all parts of the world and friends in family. She met her love, Zalmon, on one of her trips to Japan.
